Location: Montreal. Canada Date: 2010-2012 Client: UTE A30CVJ ACCIONA + DRAGADOS Global budget: € 1,200,000,000 Budget of the tasks undertaken: € 25,000
Tasks undertaken: Detail Engineering, Technical assistance on contruction works, Studies and Reports, Recalculation and expert evaluation Technical areas: Civil engineering Areas of action: Infraestructure and Civil Works, International Projects

The new A30 motorway in Montreal has 43 km of new roads with a budget of approximately can$ 1,6 billion. This project plans the construction of 33 bridges or grade crossings, a tunnel and various auxiliary works.
3D3 INGENIERÍA has provided a technical assistance during the construction works. Some of the lifting studies carried out are the following:
Lifting of a steel structure for an overpass, with two spans of 35 meters each.
Lifting of the concrete covers of the buried pump station. These are concrete slabs of 200 kN of weight each.
Proposal and feasibility study for the west bridge deck over the Saint Laurent river, an incrementally launched bridge, to use it as a lifting platform of the twin deck, to optimize execution time and safety of the works.
These jobs include the following fields of action:
Selection of the lifting systems according to the characteristics of the supporting cranes and the particular execution conditions of the worksite.
Structural evaluation of the lifting elements according to the temporal stresses of the lifting process.
Design of the structural reinforcement if necessary, anchorages definition, equipment and auxiliary elements if necessary.
Definition of the assembly system according to the phases of construction, to allow the correct execution of the solution adopted.
All the studies are done according to the Canadian Standards, in English or French according to the requirements of the client.
