This building, formerly offices of BSCH Bank, has been bought by URBIS for refurbishment as a block of flats.
Maintaining the previous geometrical constitution, inner frameworks have been partially demolished to create stairwells for vertical communication and new courtyards, reinforcing the affected zones. The ground floor framework has been reinforced thickening the existing concrete slab by 10 cm.
In addition, the second and third floors have been completly demolished and substituted with three new frameworks at different heights, maintaining the existing deck of the building. These new floors have been built using precast concrete slabs at the lateral sides and “in site” concrete slabs for the central part of the building.
