This new control tower is part of the expansion plans that AENA is carrying out at Fuerteventura airport.
The structure has been designed with supporting white concrete walls on the outside, including vertical, leaning and tabulated surfaces. The enclosure is supported by steel and concrete columns. The tower has a concrete core containing two elevators and utilities risers. The horizontal structure is made using concrete slabs. Auxiliary structures, such as rooves and the hexagonal control area room were designed with steel profiles.
The facade of the building has white supporting walls, whose outer surfaces were texturized using rubber molds on the formworks.
